What is Pride Book Fest?
Created/founded by bookstagrammer and booktoker Jacob Demlow and author Steven Salvatore, PBF is a 3-day queer book festival that launched summer 2021 with its inaugural event during Pride month, the weekend of June 11th-13th! Here’s our mission statement:
Pride Book Fest is an independent book festival designed to promote queer authors and books through an annual festival. The event will:
- highlight voices that often lack representation
- spark important conversations in the LGBTQ+ book community
- promote diverse authors and books
- celebrate debut queer authors
- connect readers to their favorite queer authors
- inspire new readers and writers to find their voices
